Water Level Sensor Module
This water level sensor module is a simple, low-cost sensor designed to detect and monitor the relative level of water and other conductive liquids. The sensor consists of exposed conductive tracks arranged along the length of the PCB. As water reaches a greater portion of the sensing area, the electrical conductivity between the tracks changes.
The module provides an analog output that can be connected directly to an analog input on an Arduino, ESP32 or similar microcontroller. The measured value can be used to estimate the relative water level, trigger an alarm or control equipment such as pumps and valves.
The sensor is suitable for water-level experiments, tank monitoring, irrigation projects, water detection, automatic pump control and educational electronics. Because the sensing tracks are exposed to the liquid, prolonged use can result in electrode corrosion or deposits, particularly when continuously powered.
