HX1838 38kHz Infrared Remote Control Set
The HX1838 is a compact infrared remote-control set designed to provide simple wireless control for electronic and microcontroller projects. The set typically includes a multi-button infrared remote and a matching HX1838 38kHz infrared receiver module.
The remote transmits modulated infrared signals at 38kHz, while the receiver detects, filters and demodulates the incoming signal before providing a digital pulse output to the connected microcontroller. Common HX1838 kits use the NEC infrared protocol, making them easy to interface with widely available IR decoding libraries.
The compact remote typically provides numeric and navigation/function buttons, allowing individual buttons to be assigned to different actions in a project. The system can therefore be used to control LEDs, motors, relays, displays, robots, menu interfaces and other electronic devices without requiring a physical wired control panel.
The HX1838 set is a convenient choice for Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi and similar platforms, particularly for projects requiring inexpensive short-range wireless control. Typical operating range is around 6ā10 metres depending on the particular kit, line of sight and surrounding conditions.
