GY-302 BH1750 Digital Light Sensor

The GY-302 is a compact digital ambient-light sensor module based on the BH1750. It measures the intensity of visible light and provides the result as a digital lux (lx) value, making it convenient for applications where quantitative light-level measurement is required.

Unlike a conventional LDR, which produces a changing resistance that must be converted into a voltage and interpreted by a microcontroller, the BH1750 performs the light measurement internally and communicates the result through an I2C interface. This provides a simple connection to Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi and other compatible platforms.

The GY-302 can be used for automatic lighting systems, screen and display brightness adjustment, smart-home automation, environmental monitoring, data logging and other projects where ambient illumination needs to be measured.
