IR Flame Sensor Module
The IR Flame Sensor is an infrared-based module designed to detect the radiation emitted by an open flame. The sensor uses an infrared-sensitive photodetector to respond to the characteristic infrared wavelengths produced by fire, allowing a connected microcontroller to determine whether a flame is present.
Common flame sensor modules include a digital comparator output for simple flame detection as well as an analog output that can be used to monitor the relative strength of the detected infrared signal. An onboard potentiometer is typically provided to adjust the digital detection threshold.
The module is suitable for Arduino, ESP32 and other microcontroller projects involving flame detection, fire-alert demonstrations, robotics, automation and experimental safety systems. It is intended for prototyping and educational use and should not be relied upon as a certified fire-safety device.
