ACS712 Hall-Effect Current Sensor Module

The ACS712 is a compact Hall-effect current sensor module designed for measuring both AC and DC current in electronic and electrical systems. It uses an integrated Hall-effect sensing element to detect the magnetic field produced by current flowing through its internal conductor, providing electrical isolation between the high-current path and the low-voltage measurement circuit.

The sensor provides an analog voltage output that changes according to the current flowing through the device. Different ACS712 variants are available for different current ranges, commonly 5A, 20A and 30A, making the module suitable for applications ranging from small electronic loads to higher-current motors and power systems.

The ACS712 can be connected to microcontrollers such as Arduino and ESP32 for real-time current monitoring, overcurrent detection, battery and power-system monitoring, motor control, load measurement and energy-monitoring applications.
